Solar Eclipse – April 8, 2024

There will be a solar eclipse tomorrow, August 12, 2026. It will be a partial eclipse in the northeast United States and Alaska, and not visible in the rest of the U.S.

Totality will be visible in the narrow red band from Greenland to Iceland to Spain.

If you live above the line that angles across the continental U.S. from Montana to North Carolina, you will see a partial eclipse ranging from barely more than 0% to about 20%. The farther north and east you go, the better. As you can see, most of the continental U.S. will not see the eclipse. You could hop in your private plane and go to Alaska. 🙂
