This is a very happy memory! Jeremy Bruskotter and I were catching the last sunset light over Lake Erie. That’s Jeremy in the photo. We were on Gibraltar Island to lead our very first photography workshop at Ohio State University’s Stone Lab. It was a beautiful evening.
It was also beastly hot. The temp was 97 and the heat index was 114. The cabin where we stayed had no AC and it had soaked up the heat all day.
Photo workshop participants would arrive the next day. At least the classroom building where we did photo presentations had AC. We planned our indoor photo presentations during the heat of the day to take advantage of the AC. We did most of our photo excursions in the early mornings and evenings when it was cooler outside.
