At 7:00 pm Saturday evening, April 4, the parking lot was already filling up with cars for the 7:30 pm dance recital. People were arriving early to get a good seat.

By the time Catharine Doty, the creative visionary behind Living Art Studios, walked out on stage to begin the recital, the Shaw Auditorium at Graceland University was nearly full.

It was a fun and exciting evening. A total of 95 dancers performed to 37 musical numbers. Living Art Studios has done very well in dance competitions this year and Saturday night you could see why.

The award winning Graceland Gadets did the opening and closing dance numbers. It is obvious why this is one of the highest attended events in Lamoni every year.

Congratulations to the dancers, to Catharine and all of the other dance teachers, plus the support staff, and the parents who work behind the scenes, for all of their hard work and the excellent results.
