My favorite picture of the day was at the end of the day. I was near the Moraine Park visitor’s center watching clouds drift across the sky as the stars came out.

Beaver Meadows Overlook on Dear Mountain has a nice view to the south at Longs Peak which was surrounded by clouds when I created this image.  This is one of my two photo locations on the road over Deer Mountain.

Horseshoe Park Overlook, Rocky Mountain National Park. February 26, 2008.

If you take U.S. 34 over Deer Mountain to the north side, there is another overlook with a nice view of Horseshoe Park. This is my other favorite photo location on the drive over Deer Mountain.
