My Northern Michigan weekend photography workshops are usually in the fall, but this one was on Memorial Day Weekend. At each workshop we take a full day to go on a field trip to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
We stopped at the south end of the Mackinac Bridge.
These canoes were lined up not far from the bridge.
The clouds let up briefly as we crossed the bridge.
Our second stop was the bird observation area at Whitefish Point. Note the rain covers over our equipment. It had been raining but it stopped for a bit.
The Seney National Wildlife Refuge, is one of my favorite places on the planet. This eagle was right over the road through the refuge. We photographed it through the sun roof of my car.
It was a wet, rainy, drizzly day.
The road through Seney winds around several ponds and you never know what you will see next.
It is hidden in the grass but this swan is at her nest.
Despite the rain, it was a great day to photograph wildlife.
