iPhone snapshots.\u00a0 Click image for a larger version.<\/p><\/div>\n

It is not too late too catch the spectacular fall colors in Southwest Colorado. All of these iPhone snapshots were taken on a September 29 trip over Marshall Pass with a side trip to O’Haver Lake.\u00a0 At each stop (there were many) I took a photo or two with my phone and I took a variety of images with a DSLR.\u00a0 I framed different parts of the overall scene and I often did horizontal and vertical versions.\u00a0 My photo excursion took 3 1\/2 hours.<\/p>\n

O’Haver Lake, Colorado<\/p><\/div>\n

If you want to follow my route I recommend going from east to west and doing it in the morning. Drive south 5 miles from Poncha Springs on U.S. 285 and then head west to Marshall Pass and O’Haver Lake\u00a0 (County Roads 200\/202). The side trip to O’Haver Lake is 3 miles up the road. After the side trip, go on up to the top of the pass and down the other side. You will end up in Sargents Colorado on U.S. 50. The total trip over Marshall Pass with a stop at O’Haver Lake is 32 miles.<\/p>\n

Fall colors reports this morning (Oct 2) indicate there are still great colors all over the mountainsides of southern Colorado and the colors should last several more days to a week.\u00a0 Go now.<\/p>\n
