Binoculars will help. Look for the two bright stars Capella low in the northwest and Vega rising in the northeast. the comet is above and to the right of Capella. The comet will move to the left (west) toward Capella and be closest to Capella on February 5. After February 5 the comet will continue to the left of Capella.
