July 14, 2012.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a very busy week in Fremont California. Doris, my mother-in-law, turned 90 years old and birthday preparations were in full swing. At the end of a long day we were headed back to the house. Our daughter Janae walked her grandmother Doris up to the front door. I grabbed my camera and snapped this image. July 14, 2016.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n<p>No matter the year, we are pften in California in mid-July. And I usually find time to head out t one of my favorite photo places, the  Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Fremont.  On this particular morning I found this Snowy Egret feeding and captured this moment. This is one of my all time favorite wildlife images and my other most favorite image for this date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.blog.jimdoty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/060714_Yosemite_5D_109_7664_w7.jpg\" alt=\"Gates of the Valley. July 14, 2006.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Bright and early one morning, long before sunrise, one of our sons and I left for Yosemite National Park to spend the day. This is one of my favorite images from that day.
