April 12, 2010.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have been following this series, you might have guessed this is another conference photo, but in a different building.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is &#8220;The Temple&#8221; which is diagonally across the street from The Auditorium. The inside and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blog.jimdoty.com\/?p=24177\">outside<\/a> of the building is reminiscent of a spiral shaped seashell, or a spiral galaxy. This is my a favorite photo for this date.<br \/><br \/>This building is open for visitors and tours and is well worth a stop if you are in Independence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.blog.jimdoty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/100412_Catching_Up_Homework_7d_0885-w7.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24144\"\/><figcaption>Catching Up On Homework, Independence Missouri. April 12, 2010.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When conference delegates aren&#8217;t meeting in large sessions in The Temple or the Conference Chamber, they are in smaller delegate caucus sessions. In the back of a caucus room I spotted this high school student quietly catching up on homework. Her dad was a delegate and happens to be one of my friends. In the nine years since I captured this moment, she has finished high school and gone to and graduated from college. The years I am not a staff photographer at conference I am usually visiting family in California. I love poppies.
