Aug, 4, 1996.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>My favorite photo for this date is a Cardinal Flower. I was a Sarett Nature Center northeast of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Early August is the time for Cardinal Flowers. They like a pretty wet area to grow in so you take a boardwalk trail out to the wetland area where they grow and bloom.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Sarett Nature Center is a great place to take photos. From spring through early fall there is always some kind of interesting collection of flowers in bloom. There are several trails to walk and explore, including one that goes down by the Paw Paw River. August 4, 2011.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The model Selina from Kentucky came to Ohio to work with me for a couple of days (more photos <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blog.jimdoty.com\/?p=21541\">here<\/a>). One of the projects she had in mind was to do a Sleeping Beauty series. It just so happens that in the middle of the woods of southern Ohio there is a castle so I contacted the owners to see if we could use it for a few hours. You can&#8217;t see it in this photo, but Selina is right under a security camera.
