October 4, 2012.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Today&#8217;s choice was a fairly easy one. For some reason there are only a half dozen photos for this date in my favorite photos folder, and for another, one stands out to me as a clear favorite.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It was my one and only trip to Banff National Park. I had four sunrises and four sunsets for photography, plus the time in between. Unfortunately, it was drizzly and cloudy much of the time and there were times I couldn&#8217;t even see the mountains. But this one evening the clouds dispersed and there was minimal wind so I captured this scene with a nice reflection. The sunlight kissing the trees and parts of the distant mountain before it set was a nice plus.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_21128\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.blog.jimdoty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/061004_Mackinac_Bridge_5D_1466_w7.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-21128\" class=\"size-full wp-image-21128\" src=\"http:\/\/www.blog.jimdoty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/061004_Mackinac_Bridge_5D_1466_w7.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-21128\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mackinac Bridge at Night. Michigan. October 4, 2006.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>My second place favorite photo for this date was taken at the Mackinac Bridge. I lived in Michigan for 9 years and crossed &#8220;Big Mac&#8221; on a regular basis. The Straights of Mackinac between Michigan&#8217;s upper and lower peninsulas are usually pretty choppy.
