It is the time of year that I get asked a lot of questions from  people who are buying gifts for photographers, or from photographers  wanting to drop hints (\u00e2\u20ac\u0153photographer\u00e2\u20ac\u009d means anyone who  likes to take pictures).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>To answer those questions, each year I write a series of articles about the best camera equipment, books, software, and online photo labs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"..\/?p=1939\">Here are the articles<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The books on the recommended book lists are from my own photo library. They are the books I have found to be the most helpful.\u00c2\u00a0 Much of the photo gear I recommend is gear that I own. The rest of the recommendations come from the sources I trust, plus the experiences I have had helping students with their own photo gear on dozens of photography field trips.<\/p>\n<p>Photo equipment is pretty specialized.
