The National Park Service is 100 years old as of today. The NPS was established August 25, 1916 to manage the national parks that were already in existence plus any parks to be created. Go out and celebrate by taking pictures. Plan a trip this year to one of our national parks. Take your camera and create images at some of the most spectacular locations in North America.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In addition to the natural wonders in our most famous national parks, the 400 plus units of the NPS include historic sites and national monuments all across the country. There is probably a unit of the NPS near you that you haven’t visited.<\/p>\n

There is so much to see and do. Pick one or more National Parks or other NPS sites and go explore. Here are some of my favorites. (I slipped in one state park just because!)<\/p>\n
