This photograph could become a classic. Photo editor&#8217;s are already calling\u00c2\u00a0Jonathan Bachman&#8217;s image &#8220;iconic&#8221;. It is a powerful image.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>After the shooting of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge. Protestors gathered to block a street near police headquaters. That&#8217;s when police in military dress met nurse nurse Ieshia Evans. It has already been compared to &#8220;Tank Man&#8221;, the photo when a lone man confronted tanks in Tiananmen Square.<\/p>\n<p>The story that follows (adapted from Time) is from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/everyone-talking-photo-protests-baton-093922109.html\">Yahoo News<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p data-type=\"text\" data-reactid=\".19ypk099zkg.$tgtm-Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$3\">\u00e2\u20ac\u0153<em><\/em>Bachman said officers belonging to several divisions of Louisiana law enforcement, many clad in riot gear, descended on the highway to clear the protesters from its path.<\/p>\n<p data-type=\"text\" data-reactid=\".19ypk099zkg.$tgtm-Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$4\">\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I saw this woman, and she was standing in the first lane in that road,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d he said. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153It happened quickly, but I could tell that she wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t going to move, and it seemed like she was making her stand. To me it seemed like: You\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re going to have to come and get me.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p data-type=\"text\" data-reactid=\".19ypk099zkg.$tgtm-Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$5\">Bachman further stressed that in contrast to the violence and confrontation that has marked other protests across the country (some of which also broke out in Baton Rouge later), this interaction was completely peaceful.<\/p>\n<p data-type=\"text\" data-reactid=\".19ypk099zkg.$tgtm-Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$6\">\u00e2\u20ac\u0153It wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t very violent.
