OSU’s Prestigious Stone Lab is hosting the workshop “Capturing the Wonder of the Outdoors”  This is your chance to take your nature, landscape, and wildlife photography to the next level. This is an intensive weekend that combines class sessions with hands-on field trips. Join us August 9-11 on Ohio State University’s scenic Gibraltar Island near Put-in-Bay, Ohio.

Once again, the workshop will be led by Jeremy Bruskotter and Jim Doty, Jr.

Jeremy Bruskotter earned a bachelor’s degree in Art from Western Michigan University before working as a commercial artist for nearly a decade. He later earned a PhD in Natural Resources, marrying his love of photography with the natural world. His photography has been published in books and on websites. He specializes in large, fine art prints. Jeremy teaches at The Ohio State University in the School of Environment and Natural Resources.

Jim Doty, Jr. is a published freelance photographer with 27 years experience in landscape, nature, events, portrait, and commercial photography. His work has been published in books, magazines, tourism brochures, calendars, and Web sites for corporations and nonprofit organizations. He has 19 years experience teaching photography and leading field trips, including faculty experience at The Ohio State University, Graceland University, and the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. He is the author of Digital Photography Exposure for Dummies, published by Wiley.
